Education:
As a substitute teacher, community college instructor and parent, I see the need to stay involved in fighting for improved education.

I believe that we need to invest more in education.  As a parent and business person, I will support the fight for Universal Pre-School.  Early education should be available to all families.  We need to bring our education program back to the top.

I will promote education for our workforce, which means we need to invest in higher education.  I will support legislation that allows employers to reimburse students in a tax free tuition credit.  Our businesses and this high tech community rely on skilled workers.  Higher education facilitates economic growth. 

Quality of Life:
I believe that we as a society, have a duty to provide good jobs, take care of seniors, and educate our children.  As a state assembly person I will strive to improve the quality of life.  I believe the aforementioned areas are essential to improving our quality of life.

Economic Development:
As a small business owner, I see the private sector, not the government, as being the engine of job creation in our communities.  I know first hand the importance of policies that encourage education, private investment, and innovation to create a pro-growth economic climate in California.  I support a more friendly business environment in the areas of taxes and support.  With this type of relationship, the businesses and the community both win.

Healthcare:
I will support healthcare reform for all, and emphasize seniors, children and families.  California needs comprehensive health care coverage.  I will work with businesses on finding a solution to make healthcare more affordable.

Affordable Housing:
I support working with the business community and the community to develop affordable housing.  We need to work as a team to make the American dream come true.

Transportation:
Transportation is an issue that significantly impacts our quality of life.  We need to ensure that the proper steps are being taken to develop a cost effective system.  This can only be done when the community is involved.  We need to look more closely into the options, and not just throw monies into the mill blindly.

Water:
I support the planning and funding of a water infrastructure.  This needs to be a priority for California.
